To prepare you for the sewing workshops, its important that you know your way around an overlocker... so here is the perfect introductory so that we can make sure everyone is at a similar starting point when the other classes begin

This class is designed to be booked in conjunction with one of the other longer workshops offered, to ensure you have an understanding of the overlocker to be able to start the projects 

It's ideal for you to bring along you own Overlocker from home for this class, so that we can set you up for success when you go home. If however, you do not have one you are able to use one of Ariane's. Please note that there is limited number of machines and you will need to advise this is the case at the time of booking in case they are already scheduled to be used by other classmates

What to bring with you:

Ideally: Your Overlocker, machine pedal, minimum 4 x matching threads and machine specific needles. The aim is to enable you to be able to create at home

If you do not have your own overlocker - you are welcome to use one of Ariane's - the number of these is limited, so please advise at the time of booking if you will need one so that the class numbers can be arranged correctly - thank you

You will be added to the special secret Sparkle Gang Stitch Facebook group - a place where Ariane will be sharing tips and tricks for sewing and secret ideas for how to improve your sewing. Class attendees will be encouraged to share pictures of their makes and share knowledge and ideas. Its a community were growing for the Sewing Revolution! This is the place to have access to Ariane's technical knowledge.


Who can attend?

The classes are operated in a respectful manner and no preferences will be taken over the gender of attendees - everyone is encouraged to take part!

Anyone over the age of 18 due to the use of sewing machines


Class Length:

2 hours 


Dates and Times of Classes: 

Monday 23rd July - 6.30 to 8.30pm

Wednesday 8th August - 10.30am to 12.30pm

Thursday 9th August - 6.30pm to 8.30pm



Classes will be held at Ariane's studio - 18 Dawson Street, Brunswick


Refund and Cancellation Policy:

No Refund applicable, if the class is run again you will be welcome to attend so long as you gave over 48 hours cancellation notice. Not transferable to another person. To run, this class needs a minimum of 4 attendees booked in, if this is not the case 48 hours before the class begins Ariane may be in touch to re-schedule to another date
